
Anand Anjay Ramnanan is a Trinidadian - Canadian independent Pop/R&B singer, songwriter-composer and record producer based in Toronto. He was Born in Trinidad, the sister island of Tobago. At age 12 he played drums for a boy scout musical band. In 1993 he pursued his dreams and passion for music and started composing original pop songs (Melody and lyrics) naturally, "a gift he was born with".
In February 2026, Ramnanan recorded Patience an original English pop song. The lyrics and melody are written and composed by Ramnanan. The record is produced by Ramnanan and is pending release in April 2026. Currently he is producing a professional original music video with creative characters in 2 D animation.
On August 12, 2025, Ramnanan released I Remember You an original English R&B song as a recording artist. The lyrics and melody are written and composed by Ramnanan; the record was produced by Ramnanan.
"I Remember You" received radio airplay in Canada and countries in the Caribbean with interviews.
On January 16, 2025, Ramnanan released Touched My Heart an original English dance-pop song, as a recording artist. Ramnanan wrote the lyrics, composed the melody and produced the record. "Touched My Heart" received airplay on rotation and spins on 18 radio stations (commercial and community) in Canada and international markets. He was interviewed live on Radio Cayman 88.9 FM (Cayman Islands), ABS Radio 90.3 FM (Antigua & Barbuda) and Northumberland 89.7 FM in (Ontario, Canada) to name a few, and was featured in print media "Desi News Magazine", "Trinidad & Tobago Newsday" article by Bavina Sookdeo, other international online media "blackfacts.com" in the United States carried the story. The song reached an audience of "hundreds of thousands" of listeners and continues to receive airplay.
MAJOR SUCCESS
In 1998 Ramnanan released Juli an original fusion pop song, as a recording artist in collaboration with two other artists. Ramnanan composed the melody and wrote the lyrics in English and translated parts to Hindi and produced the record. The record was released under his middle name Anjay and touched the hearts of over 1 million people. (English) vocals by Anjay and (Hindi) vocals by Sharique and the late Hassan Kasani from Pakistan. "Juli" received airplay on ethnic radio stations in Toronto with a radio interview by Anjay on "Punjabi Lehran AM 530", spins on CHIN 100.7 FM and 103.1 FM in Trinidad and Tobago to name a few. Anjay was featured in print media "Trinidad and Tobago Guardian" article by Peter Ray Blood, "Etobicoke Guardian" and "Desi News" to name a few. He was interviewed in 2001 on Canadian television "Bollywood Blvd" a popular tv show broadcasted on (CFMT/OMNI 1) and performed "Juli" with an interview on "Asian Television Network", which was broadcasted in 2001 across countries in Asia and North America, with live performances at the Canadian National Exhibition Canter and other events in Toronto during 2000-2001. He formed a pop duo "Nutune" with another musicians Haroon, and parted ways.

Ramnanan composed the melodies and wrote the lyrics for the majority of original songs for Learn And Have Fun Vol.1, a children educational-entertainment English pop album, recorded by Canadian singers: Anastasia Winterhalt, Denis D'Aoust, Roxanne Norman, Brandon Peneycad, Sarah Lau, Callan Pienaar and Laura Mikelsons. The album was produced by Ramnanan and released in 2003 by "Kidcircle Inc" and was available on (CD and Audiocassette). The CD was retail in toy stores, "Indigo Books & Music" and American "Sears" retail stores in Canada that sold well. The album was also marketed by a major label "Kaboom Entertainment Inc" and "UNICEF Canada" expressed interest.
Ramnanan composed the melody and wrote the lyrics in English and translated to Hindi for Tum Ho Mera Pyaar, a
fusion pop song. The song was recorded by Canadian Vikas Khanna featuring Caprice a rapper. "Tum Ho Mera Pyaar" was produced by Ramnanan and released on April 2013, and received airplay in ethnic markets in Canada, United States of America and spins on 103.1 FM in Trinidad. Ramnanan was interviewed as the songwriter on 103.1 FM in Trinidad. The record received great review by (Joshua Surtees) "Trinidad & Tobago Guardian" and other international media carried the story.
Ramnanan composed the melody, and AB Perro wrote the lyrics for Days of Rain, an English pop/R&B song, recorded by American Lorraine Scott whose credits include 4 x Canadian Juno Award nominations. "Days of Rain" was released in 2014 mainstream and received radio airplay on CBC Radio 1 across Canada as well international airplay on commercial radio and interviews.
Ramnanan composed the melody and wrote the majority of lyrics as author and Denis D'aoust contributed as the co-author in the "lyrical" element for Someday an English soft rock ballad, recorded by Trinidadian Krystal Khayne. The record was produced by Ramnanan and released on July 26, 2021, and received airplay on community radio stations in Canada, CJWA 107.1 FM, CHIP 101.9 FM, Northumberland 89.7 FM are few to name and airplay and interviews on commercial radio in Caribbean countries.
Ramnanan composed the melody and wrote the lyrics for This Christmas an English Christmas pop ballad, recorded by German actress Katrin Lion. The record was produced by Rudiger Gleisberg in Germany and released on December 02, 2022, on "BSC Music" Germany. "This Christmas" received airplay on 45 radio stations (community and commercial) two weeks before Christmas day: Canada BOIR 100.1 FM, Canoe 100.9 FM, CHIP 101.9 FM, Germany on Radio Okerwelle 104.6 FM, ITV Coburg, and radio stations in the Caribbean, Magic 103.7 FM, Radio Cayman 89.9 FM, TAJ 92.3 FM to name a few. The song continues to receive airplay during every holiday season.

As a Canadian singer and songwriter, Ramnanan "original music" has contributed to the field of "arts and culture" in Canada and has earned him international respect in the music industry.
